Our client is a 28 bedded well resourced public hospital on the remote, beautiful island of St Helena (population 4,500).
St Helena is An Overseas Territory of the United Kingdom located in the South Atlantic (circa 4,000 miles from the UK, 1,200 miles from South Africa).
The LOCUM THEATRE SISTER role will encompass leading the perioperative team in achieving and maintaining excellent standards of specialist care and support for patients in the pre-, peri- and post-operative period. Amongst other roles this involves assisting the surgeon and anaesthetist to a high standard, ensuring best practice is maintained in theatre at all times and that safe and effective procedures are carried out.
Requirements:
- Experienced theatre nurse with management experience
- Excellent English
- NMC registration or equivalent from European countries, USA, Canada, New Zealand, Australia, South Africa
- Available ASAP for holiday cover for 3 months
