IMS is now seeking experienced SPORTS MEDICINE DOCTOR for its hospital client in Qatar.

With staff comprising of leading medical practitioners from around the globe, our prestigious client operates a renowned sports medicine centre in Doha, Qatar.

This is an excellent opportunity to work as a Sports medicine doctor at an elite level with sports clubs and federations throughout Qatar.

There will be the responsibility for both the reactive and pro-active care of athletes and non-athletes through the hospitals Outpatients Clinic, Screening Department its Sports Medicine Program

Any candidate will need to be highly skilled in diagnosis and management of acute and gradual onset sports injuries. Highly skilled in pre-competition assessment of athletes and ability to assess readiness to participate in competitive sport. Skilled in diagnosing, investigating and management of sport-related medical conditions, including, but not limited to infections, respiratory, gastro-intestinal and cardiac conditions.

Expertise will be required in the medical management of elite, professional and recreational athletes.

Requirements:

  • Eligible for a license from the licensing authority in the State of Qatar.
  • 12-15 years of experience as doctor.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Clinical Sports Medicine.
  • Doctor must hold an unrestricted medical license and a MD degree.
  • Master’s degree in Sports Medicine or formal training in sports medicine (fellowship training, board recognized subspecialty in sports medicine or Specialty Board certification in sport medicine.
  • Previous experience as a Club/Federation doctor in an elite setting is preferred.
  • Excellent English essential, Arabic beneficial
