Senior Clinical Dietician vacancy in Bermuda

IMS is now seeking an experienced and motivated CLINICAL DIETICIAN SUPERVISOR
Key responsibilities include:
- Ensuring compliance with clinical and operational policies, procedures, and processes for staff providing patient care in the unit
- Supervise staff including conducting performance appraisals as required
- Making regular unit rounds to assess patient care and staff, accompanying physicians when appropriate
- Participating in the process for admissions, discharges and transfers
- Monitoring patient’s progress for efficacy of nutritional intervention, provides reassessment of nutritional status, and adjusts nutrition care plan according to established protocols
- Providing counselling and education to patients/significant others regarding drug-nutrient interactions, nutrition intervention or therapeutic diets as appropriate.
- Responding to nutrition Consults from physicians and the health care team and initiates the nutrition care process
- Promoting the team approach through participation in patient care rounds and discharge planning meetings

Requirements
- Bachelor or Masters of Science from an accredited University with a major in Nutrition/Dietetics.
- Must have three years’ management (either in a supervisory or functional area) experience as a Clinical Dietitian within a clinical hospital setting
- Must demonstrate ability to provide independent clinical nutrition care services to a wide range of patients with simple to very complex medical nutritional therapy.
- Eligible for licensing with the Bermudan Council for Allied Health Professions (CAHP).
