Our client is a renowned private hospital in the Cayman Islands offering a comprehensive range of inpatient and outpatient health services.

The client is now seeking an experienced PAEDIATRICIAN/ NEONATOLOGIST.

Responsibilities 

  • Act as a general Paediatrician and provision of Neonatal care
  • Attend the deliveries of both term and preterm infants, as requested by parents, required by current guidelines or where considered advisable in consultation with obstetric colleagues
  • Provide immediate care as required, including initial assessment of newborns, preterm or otherwise, then managing any admission to NICU (Usually babies older than 30 weeks) at Cayman Islands Hospital
  • Where necessary, engage in the resuscitation, stabilisation and transfer of newborns to NICU at Cayman Islands Hospital
  • Coordinate and supervise activities of other medical staff and refer patients to a specialist or other physician when warranted
  • See paediatric patients in an out-patient clinical setting.
  • Able to manage and treat paediatric patients of all ages referring where appropriate to other specialist colleagues

Requirements

  • Consultant in Paediatrics and Neonatology
  • Specialist registration as a Paediatrician
  • At least 5 years working in a level 2 NICU (or higher)  as a consultant post-board specialisation.
  • Eligible for registration in The Cayman Islands
  • Excellent English required
