IMS’s client operates modern public hospitals in Bermuda offering high standards of care from its international workforce.

The client is now looking for a number of experienced medical personnel including LABORATORY TECHNOLOGIST (CYTOLOGY).

The laboratory is a comprehensive facility located within the hospital offering the following 5 disciplines Microbiology, Clinical Biochemistry, Hematology, Transfusion Services (including an onsite Blood Donor Center) and Anatomic Pathology (Histology/Cytology/Mortuary services).

The Medical Technologist-Cytology is responsible for diagnostic evaluation of gynaecological and non-gynaecological preparation to detect evidence of pathogens, pre-cancerous, cancerous, and other pathological conditions while adhering to the policies and procedures set within the Cytology department.

Requirements

  • BSc. In Medical Technology or a registered technologist
  • Minimum of 2 years post graduate clinical experience in cytology
  • ASCP, HPC or CSMLS registered or equivalent
  • Eligible for Registration with the Bermuda Council for Allied Health Professionals
  • Excellent English
