The client is now looking for a DIAGNOSTIC IMAGING NURSE.
Key responsibilities:
- Prepares for and assists during various diagnostic procedures in Radiology, CAT scan, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, Ultrasound, Mammography, Bone Density and Cardiac Diagnostic Unit
- Provides care and monitoring pre, peri and post procedure in the prep/recovery unit. This will include some management of sedated/anaesthetised patients post procedure.
- Understands the pharmacology of medications administered in DI and CDU and recognizes special considerations related to drugs and contrast media procedures.
- Develops and manages inventory of supplies including pharmaceuticals, patient care and special procedure supplies.
- Utilizes Nursing, Diagnostic Imaging and Cardiac Diagnostic procedural knowledge to plan for patient care needs within the department and hospital environment
- Provides pertinent health education and procedural teaching to all Diagnostic Imaging patients their immediate caregivers and professional colleagues as required, to optimize patient care

Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a specialist nurse
- Preferred certifications: PALS, PACU or, Certified Radiology Nurse (CRN)
- Eligible for Registration with the Bermuda Nursing Council
- Graduate of Nursing with current registration from country of training/origin
- Post graduate qualification / training required for all positions
- Excellent English (a language proficiency test may be required)
