Our client the public healthcare providor on the remote, rugged and beautiful island of St Helena (population 4,500).

St Helena is An Overseas Territory of the United Kingdom located in the South Atlantic (circa 4,000 miles from the UK and 1,200 miles from South Africa).

IMS Recruitment is a leading recruiter of medical staff for hospitals worldwide and for our public sector client, we are seeking an experienced Child and Adolescent Mental Health Practitioner.

The role will encompass:

  • Working within a multidisciplinary team offering full comprehensive assessments and interventions in a range of settings and evaluate the mental health care to children and their families.
  • Acting in collaboration with a team of educational psychologist, teachers and social workers to create a comprehensive approach to child and adolescent mental health care planning and delivery.
  • Provide evidence based therapeutic interventions to adults and children with mental health challenges

Requirements:

  • Excellent English
  • A minimum of three years post registration experience in a Children & Adolescents Mental Health Service
  • Registered as a nurse with a professional qualification in Mental Health Nursing
