Our client is a renowned private hospital in the Cayman Islands offering a comprehensive range of inpatient and outpatient health services.

An experienced CONSULTANT IN CARDIOLOGY is required to join an established department; offering a rare opportunity to help develop the cardiology service in

an internationally accredited private hospital offering outstanding care.

The hospital has an established coronary intervention service for both elective and acute settings. Experience in diagnostic and/or therapeutic interventions would be an additional asset. Alternatively, substantial experience in device implantation would also be desirable as that would create the opportunity for expansion of services to pacemaker/ICD implantation.

Responsibilities 

  • Responsible for the diagnosis, evaluation, and management of patients with cardiovascular disease. The role involves delivering high-quality clinical care, interpreting diagnostic tests, and contributing to the development of cardiology services.
  • Maintenance of the highest clinical standards in the management of cardiology patients.
  • Provision, with Consultant colleagues, of a cardiology service with responsibility for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of illness, and the proper functioning of the department.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience (post-board) as a Cardiologist
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD or equivalent) with completed residency in Cardiology
  • Board certification or board eligibility in Cardiology
  • Strong clinical expertise in diagnosing and managing a wide range of cardiac conditions
  • Comprehensive knowledge of current clinical guidelines and evidence‑based cardiology care
  • Eligible for registration in The Cayman Islands
  • Excellent English required
