Our client is a 28 bedded well resourced public hospital on the remote, beautiful island of St Helena (population 4,500).

The client is seeking a multi- disciplined HCPC REGISTERED BIO-MEDICAL SCIENTIST / LABORATORY MANAGER who can start asap.

Requirements:

  • Honours Degree in Biomedical Sciences (or equivalent)             
  • Current Registration as a Biomedical Scientist with HCPC
  • At least 5 years post HCPC registration
  • Evidence of participation in mandatory courses and CPD
  • Competent in routine laboratory techniques and troubleshooting
  • Experience in the disciplines of Blood Sciences and Transfusion
  • Experience with a computerised laboratory information system
  • Phlebotomy practical experience
  • Experience in provision of Blood Donor Services, and Blood Donor phlebotomy desirable.
