Diabetes Mid Grade Doctor/Registrar vacancy, Gibraltar

IMS Recruitment is recruiting a DIABETES DOCTOR (Staff Grade/Registrar)for a public hospital in Gibraltar.

The client is seeking a candidate for commencement at the earliest possible opportunity, on a 12 month fixed term contract.

Gibraltar, with its high standard of living, Mediterranean climate and modern English speaking hospitals is a highly attractive place to live and work.

Requirements

  • Applicants must be registered with the UK’s GMC
  • 2 Year’s minimum experience in diabetes
  • Available to start asap
  • Must be a UK or EU citizen.
  • Confident to manage both Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes patients in an outpatient setting with minimal supervision
  • Able to conduct routine review and management of diabetic patients in the inpatient setting
  • Sufficiently experienced to manage acute diabetes emergencies such as DKA and HHS
  • Familiar with structured patient education programs for both Type 1 (DAFNE/BERTIE) and Type 2 Diabetes (DESMOND)
  • Familiar with the interpretation of data from CGM devices
