Requirements
It is essential that all candidates have a good standard of written and spoken English. Part of the interview process will be a test of a candidate’s English language skills, covering the four main elements: speaking, listening writing and reading.
In due course, all candidates will need to register with the General Dental Council ( GDC). This web page has more details of the requirements: http://www.gdc-uk.org/registerflow/EU_enlargement.html
To be able to register with the GDC, most candidates must have a dental degree / diploma from an EU country and have worked for at least 3 out of the past 5 years as a dentist. (There are certain exceptions to this, if your degree course meets the relevant EU standard. Please contact us for more details). It is also essential that you are an EU national, or married to an EU national. (N.B. If you are not an EU national, but you are married to an EU national, you can still work in the UK but certain restrictions apply on how you can register – please contact us for more details).
IMS Recruitment has many candidates currently going through the GDC registration process and we can advise you on all aspects of this.

Recruitment process
Candidates will be interviewed in each of the countries by our client. This usually takes the form of an initial presentation on working in the UK, covering contractual terms, taxes, relocation, living and working conditions in the UK etc. Candidates then usually undertake a language test and have an interview with a representative of the company. After the interview, we will let you know whether the client would like to make an offer of employment. We can then advise on contract terms and moving to the UK.
If you are interested in coming to work in the UK, please send a CV as per the Application Form shown here
